Abdulaziz H. Mahmoud

Abdulaziz is a highly accomplished legal professional with deep expertise in corporate and commercial law across Tanzania. He advises clients on a broad spectrum of matters, including company law, banking and finance, employment, insurance, commercial contracts, investment, intellectual property, taxation, and all areas of Islamic Law. He brings strong leadership and governance experience, having served as a Board Member of the Zanzibar Business Licence Regulatory Council under the Ministry of Trade (2016–2020) and the People’s Bank of Zanzibar (PBZ) (2018–2021). These roles provided him with invaluable insight into regulatory oversight, institutional governance, and strategic decision-making within key public and financial institutions.

Abdulaziz has also held a pivotal role within the public sector at the Ministry of Communication and Transport as a state attorney, where he was directly involved in legislative drafting and the development and implementation of national policies, regulations, and bylaws. With extensive experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Abdulaziz possesses a nuanced understanding of legal frameworks and regulatory compliance in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. This dual perspective positions him as a trusted advisor to corporate and commercial clients, delivering practical, business-oriented legal solutions grounded in Tanzania’s legal jurisprudence.
